Role objectives

The Corporate Power and Carbon Specialist is responsible for:

  • The Account Management of Gazprom Energy’s embedded generation portfolio and Carbon transactions in conjunction with our parent, GM&T
  • Renewing complex flexible Gas and Power contracts to large and prestigious customers.
  • Identifying and transacting Carbon via the EU ETS
  • Liaison with GM&T obtaining prices for our Carbon Offsetting products utilised by the wider sales team.
  • Query Management and resolution for customers and TPIs
  • Widen GM&T’s and Gazprom Energy’s power origination network (for various ops: EmGen, PPAs, sale of power to other retailers, other)
  • Establishing solid communication channels with Corporate Account Management team, strengthen Gazprom Energy’s power awareness, knowledge and skills: this person will receive information and support from the Power desk on the market, the size and shape of commercial opportunities, and so on which Gazprom Energy can use to strengthen its power business
  • Tighten the co-ordination of the GM&T power business: additional and more formal channel for co-ordination between the Power Desk and Gazprom Energy
  • Improve our information network – this person will use Gazprom Energy’s networks – including the TPIs
  • Improve Gazprom Energy’s marketing: by understanding the market better, we can target more accurately and convert a higher % to revenue

 

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Sell flexible and high volume flexible embedded generation gas contracts to the UKs largest energy suppliers
  • Add value and revenue to the current portfolio whilst ensuring sales targets are achieved.
  • Day to day account management of large customers, working closely with other Gazprom Energy teams and external third parties to resolve customer queries to a high standard
  • Develop Gazprom Energy’s reputation for customer service and product flexibility by Liaising With GM+T Trade Desks

To be willing to represent and promote the Gazprom Energy brand both internally and externally at conferences and seminars.

  • To be aware of and comply with all company policies and procedures, including but not limited to the Gazprom Energy Data Protection policy, Equal Opportunities policy, and the Email and Internet Acceptable Usage Policy, in addition to Fire and Health and Safety Regulations.
  • You may also be required to carry out any other duties within the scope and purpose of this role as requested by your line manager and in line with business needs.

  • Good Microsoft Office computer skills (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, e-mail

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to influence senior stakeholders and build strong internal and external relationships.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with ability to quickly digest and understand complex information.
  • Ability to develop and continuously improve processes.
  • Self-motivated with the skills to engage and inspire others.

 

Experience

  • Experience in a Key Account Manager role
  • Knowledge of the UK Energy Industry and its operations
  • Experience in carrying out complicated commercial negotiation
  • Knowledge and experience in the implementation of Industry processes and contractual obligations
  • Demonstrable energy sales experience
  • Established relationships with customers and TPIs
  • Experience of Carbon (Off-set), PPA’s, Power and EmGen

 

Education
